Holiday of Hope: MCM’s Hybrid Christmas Party

Celebrating during a second pandemic Christmas, Medical Center Muntinlupa did not let the COVID-19 virus put a hamper on its holiday spirit last December 17, 2021.

While the hospital celebrated its previous 2020 Christmas Party fully online, this year, with successful and continuous inoculations and the maintenance of the highest standards of health protocols, MCM was able to celebrate safely by conducting its company-wide party in a hybrid fashion.

Departments each celebrated in their respective clusters; allowing everyone to stay in proximity only with those they already work with directly; while staying tuned in to the hospital-wide Zoom.

The Management Committee presided over the festivities from The Palms Country Club, where the leadership also held the final Management Committee of the year early in the morning.

Two major competitions with cash prizes were held: a Zumba Dance-Off and a Masquerade Fashion Show, judged by Dr. Ning Singh, Dr. Leo Katigbac, Mr. Carlo Herrera.

The Pediatrics Department ultimately came out on top, dominating the Zumba competition with an explosive choreography themed after Santa and His Elves, while the Admin and Accounting Department won the Masquerade with an elegant Philippine-flag inspired mask and ballgown worthy of the runway.

A continuous raffle was held for the next two days, wherein employees names were placed in a digital spinner to win prizes ranging from 500 pesos to much sought-after appliances, gift certificates, and sponsored prizes.

It was truly a holiday to remember for frontliners who have braved the virus for over two years now; celebrating their first Christmas with a touch of real physical presence.

Here’s to hoping for a safer year ahead!
